The Promise Was Waiting on the Other Side

The Promise Was Waiting on the Other Side

A reflection on faith, perseverance, and trusting God's timing.

This week, after months of studying, setbacks, uncertainty, and perseverance, I passed my National Real Estate Exam.

While I am incredibly grateful for the result, what stays with me most isn't the exam itself.

It's what God taught me along the way.

For the past several months, I have been walking through a season that required patience, discipline, and trust. There were moments when I felt confident and moments when I felt discouraged. There were days I wanted to keep pushing forward and days when I wondered if I would ever reach the finish line.

There were even times when I questioned whether I was making any progress at all.

Yet through every setback, every practice exam, every late night of studying, and every moment I wanted to quit, God continued to remind me of the same truth:

Keep showing up.

Keep trusting Me.

Keep moving forward.

The week before my exam was especially busy. Between studying, leadership meetings, discipleship gatherings, and simply managing everyday life, I felt stretched in many directions.

But what encouraged me most was being reminded that God is faithful.

Not just when we receive the answer.

Not just when we see the breakthrough.

But in the waiting.

In the preparation.

In the process.

So often we ask God for something and then become discouraged when it doesn't happen immediately.

We pray.

We wait.

We work.

And sometimes we wonder if He is still moving.

But faith is not simply believing God can do it.

Faith is continuing to trust Him while you're waiting.

It's showing up when progress feels slow.

It's studying when you'd rather quit.

It's remaining obedient when the outcome is uncertain.

It's believing that God is working even when you cannot yet see the results.

When I walked out of my exam and learned that I had passed, I felt grateful.

But I also felt humbled.

Because I realized that the greatest victory wasn't passing the exam.

The greatest victory was becoming the person God was shaping throughout the process.

The perseverance.

The patience.

The discipline.

The trust.

He used every part of the journey.

And now, standing on the other side of a season that felt long and difficult, I can see something I couldn't always see while I was in the middle of it.

The promise was waiting on the other side.

If you're walking through a season of waiting, don't lose heart.

Keep praying.

Keep believing.

Keep doing the work God has placed before you.

The process may feel longer than you expected.

The breakthrough may take more time than you hoped.

But God is still working, even when you cannot yet see it.

Sometimes the very thing you've been praying for is waiting just beyond the place where you feel like giving up.

The promise may be closer than you think.

Stay faithful.

Stay obedient.

Trust His timing.

The promise is waiting on the other side. 🤍

With love,
