Rooted Before Fruitful

We often want visible growth immediately.

We want clarity.
Momentum.
Open doors.
Confirmation that something is working.

But God often develops roots before fruit.

In nature, roots grow quietly beneath the surface long before anything visible appears above the ground.

And spiritually, God works much the same way.

Some seasons may feel hidden.
Slow.
Unnoticed.

But hidden does not mean abandoned.

Sometimes the deepest work God is doing within us cannot yet be seen by others.

He strengthens our character.
Deepens our dependence.
Teaches us to remain steady in Him before asking us to carry more.

The world celebrates visible success, but Scripture reminds us that lasting fruit comes from being deeply rooted first.

A tree survives storms not because of what is visible above ground, but because of what has been established underneath it.

Maybe this season isn’t about striving harder.

Maybe it’s about remaining planted.

Trusting that God is still growing something even when progress feels quiet.

Because fruitfulness in God’s timing is sustained by roots formed in secret.
