A Threefold Cord: A reflection on family, leadership, and God's design.

This past week was filled with moments that reminded me of God's goodness.

After months of studying, perseverance, and trusting God through the process, I passed my National Real Estate Exam.

It was a huge answer to prayer and a reminder that God's timing is always perfect.

But that wasn't the only blessing this week.

On Saturday, our son turned eleven years old.

As parents, it is incredible how quickly the years pass. One moment you're holding a baby in your arms, and the next you're watching them grow into young men with their own personalities, dreams, and gifts from God.

Then on Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day.

My husband had just returned home from a men's retreat centered with Christ, and I could immediately see the difference in him.

He came home refreshed.

Encouraged.

Filled with renewed vision and clarity for our family and our future.

There is something powerful about allowing God to pour into us.

Life has a way of draining us when we constantly give without taking time to be refreshed in His presence.

But God is faithful to restore what feels weary.

He replenishes what feels depleted.

He strengthens what feels weak.

As I watched my husband share what God had been speaking to him over the weekend, I found myself feeling incredibly thankful.

Thankful for a husband who loves the Lord.

Thankful for a husband who desires to lead our family according to God's Word.

Thankful for a marriage where we can dream together, pray together, and move forward together.

This season of life is busy.

Between motherhood, homeschooling, ministry, writing, business, and now real estate, there are many things competing for my attention.

Yet God has been reminding me that I don't have to choose between the callings He has placed on my life.

I don't have to stop being a wife to pursue a business.

I don't have to stop being a mother to pursue a dream.

I don't have to choose between being a homemaker and being an entrepreneur.

Instead, God is teaching me how to steward each role with wisdom and balance.

More importantly, He is reminding me that my identity is not found in what I accomplish.

My identity is first found in being His daughter.

From that place, I can serve as a wife.

From that place, I can love my children.

From that place, I can pursue the opportunities He places before me.

One verse kept coming to mind this week:

"Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken." — Ecclesiastes 4:12

What a beautiful picture of God's design.

God.

Husband.

Wife.

A threefold cord.

Not competing.

Not pulling against one another.

But strengthened together through Him.

As I look ahead to this new season, I feel hopeful.

Not because everything is perfectly figured out.

But because God is leading each step.

He is guiding our family.

He is opening doors in His timing.

And He is teaching us that true success is not found in achievement alone, but in faithfully walking where He leads.

For that, I am incredibly grateful.
